The last few days have been pretty big on the home entertainment front, what with the "Avatar" DVD/Blu-ray news and all. (Need a recap? Read THR and Hero Complex's stories.) Now comes word that killer asteroid thriller "Armageddon" and modern Western classic "Tombstone" are coming to Blu-ray for the first time, April 27.
"Armageddon" is that fine 1998 Michael Bay movie that featured Ben Affleck playing with animal crackers on Liv Tyler's stomach and Aerosmith's only No. 1 hit, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing." You may remember it was a massive hit ($553.7 million at the worldwide boxoffice). What you may not remember was that a young J.J. Abrams was a writer on the movie.
